The Works & Services Department is a Devolved Department of Provincial Government having Secretary Works & Services and Chief Engineer as Head of the Department in the Province.
The Department is responsible to provide engineering services in transport, communication, building and housing for Government Departments. It is also responsible for exclusion operations and maintenance of Infrastructure, water supply, sanitation and drainage works.
It is also responsible for providing services of repair and rehabilitation, restoration of damages caused by Natural disasters and accidents.
The EDO / Deputy Director is district head responsible to coordinate with District and Provincial authorities in the identification and processing of schemes of developmental and repair nature. The approved Schemes are publicized through leading News papers and Tenders are opened through rules and regulations prescribed by the Government of Pakistan for the registered contractors.
